Rebecca's Profile
Likes: Laughing until my face aches, tea, sleep, singing (out of tune) loudly for all to hear, socks, dancing, Autumn, Christmas, SNOW.
Dislikes: Fish, early mornings, people (Olivia) picking their split ends, poor grammar, negativity, spitefulness, the number 23, the word ‘kerfuffle’.
Couldn’t live without: Tea, sleep, laughter, mascara.
Most memorable sporting moment: Knocking myself out in Gymnastics class at school - far from graceful. It was a proud moment.
Personal motto: "Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain".
I grew up in Gloucestershire and moved to Hertfordshire to attend university where I recently graduated with a BSc (Hons) Sports Studies degree and an MSc by Research. I am a new addition to the HSP team and I’m loving the daily challenges of the sports development world. I have yet to find a sport that I don’t enjoy playing, though it’s safe to say that I wasn’t born to play tennis! I have been a cheerleading coach for four years and have competed in the USA, Italy and Spain with the Uni. of Hertfordshire squad. I hope to travel the world and to work for a year or two in Canada within the sports development realm. I firmly believe that I was destined to compete at the Olympic Games, and as soon as Puddle-Jumping becomes an internationally-recognised sport, I will become a gold medallist.
