Personal motto: Illegitimi non carborundum
I joined the Herts Sports Partnership in April 2007, to work part-time on workforce development, and then took on my coaching role in November 2009. Prior to that, I’d been self-employed for around 20 years, involved in delivering and designing training programmes. The opportunity to work in sport (and get paid for it!), particularly in the period leading up to the Olympics, was too good to miss.
While I will happily watch and enjoy loads of sport, nothing grips me like rugby (well, Leeds United too, if I’m honest!). As a volunteer, I’ve been involved with rugby for more than 40 years – player, coach, RFU tutor, administrator, team manager, youth chairman, etc. etc.
