Memorable Sporting Moment: Hosting a football exchange back in 1991. My team Fairland’s Youth FC were playing against Ingelheim in a series of friendly fixtures. At the time I was playing in midfield and for a cubby kid I wasn’t that bad. I received the ball in the centre circle, went passed one, dropped my should and went passed another, skipped over a challenge, executed an amazing step over to go past the last defender and stroked the ball in bottom right hand corner of the goal. Simple! For reference this was 1 of only 2 goals I scored whilst playing youth football for about 10 years so needs to be celebrated!
I have been with the partnership since October 2009. Previously I had been working in sports development for 5 years taking on roles with Watford Borough Council and the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership. Currently I am responsible for the countywide Active Together project which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of older people through exercise and volunteering. My time with the partnership to date has been really enjoyable and is a great place to work.
