Rob’s profile
Likes: music, friends, comedy, Leeds United (and, yes, the last two have been closely linked lately!)
Dislikes: parsnips, celery, misplaced apostrophes, Big Brother Celebrity Skater Dreamcoat Idol TV dross
Couldn’t live without: rugby, sausage sandwiches, family
Memorable sporting moment: Rob Andrew’s winning drop goal against Australia in the 1995 World Cup quarter final - it was a harder kick than Jonny’s, and further! First time England won against Australia in the southern hemisphere.
I joined the Herts Sports Partnership in April 2007, to work part-time on workforce development - we need more (and better) coaches, officials, managers, administrators, and so on.
I am an RFU tutor and coach, and I’ve been involved in rugby in the county for over 30 years. Having been relatively healthy and injury-free for most of that time, it was a bit of a shock to be ill for most of 2006. So I took a long look at what I was doing and joined the Sports Partnership! Good move.
