The winners for the Secondary School of the Year are:
1st- Beaumont School- St Albans
Beaumont School offers over 50 extra curricular activities for both male and female pupils from year 7-13. We are proud to hold the most school club links of any school within the St Albans districts which had made a great impact on our local community and the number of our pupils who participate in sport at external clubs. Our sports leaders programme continues to grow and we currently have in excess of 100 students signed up to take sports leader courses next year. We are also proud to have both of the districts sports ambassadors who have made a particular impact to school and community events throughout the district.

2nd- The John Warner School, Hoddesdon
The John Warner School strives to offer as many opportunities to all of it's pupils as possible. John Warner has active sporting links to a number of clubs in the local community and we have many pupils and staff who are members or players of local teams. Every member of the PE faculty has received training this academic year linked to the delivery of sport, it had included delivery of girls futsal, introducing zumba fitness to the curriculum, spinning INSET, and level 2 sport leadership training.
3rd- Greneway Middle School, Royston
Greneway Middle School is the hub of the local community with its 'Inclusive Excellence; with fully inclusive entitlement and enrichment programmes where all concerned are highly motivated to achieve their highest possible levels. The school continues to enjoy highly effective School-Clubs links with 16 clubs which include several non traditional sports.
