club accreditation

Clubmark

Clubmark is a cross-sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections. It is the only nationally recognised 'kite-mark' for sports clubs to show, children, parents, schools and local facilities that a sports club offers a safe, and quality assured environment for juniors.

With an increasing number of children accessing sporting opportunties outside of the school setting it is vital that these clubs serve young people well. Clubmark not only provides quality assurance but can also transform a club, making it more vibrant, visable and accesible to it's local community.

The Clubmark scheme is managed by Sport England but applies across a wide range of sports, with some National Governing Bodies choosing to shape and rename it to suit their sports. Some examples of this include; Netball's ‘CAPS Awards’, Hockey's ‘Clubs 1st’, Gymnastics 'GymMark' and Swimming's ‘Swim21’.

All clubs who achieve accredtation status are able to use these 'kite marks' to enable anyone to quickly recognise that a club is committed to providing a quality experience to young people.

Sports clubs that work with children and young people need support to improve the quality of their work; and they deserve this additional support. We work closely with these clubs to help them to achieve 'Clubmark' status and continue to provide support following this achievement.
