WHSPAA (Welwyn Hatfield Sports and Physical Activity Alliance) was established in 2005, and being a Community Sports Network, is part of the government’s Delivery System for Sport.  It is a voluntary organisation, with the stated aim of being a voice for sport in Welwyn and Hatfield. It is the umbrella body for voluntary sports clubs and includes representatives from the health, public and private sectors as well as leisure operators, schools sports partnerships and disability sports groups.
