becoming a clubmark club
It's the journey not the destination
For some clubs achieving Clubmark status is only a few step away, a majority of the evidence required may already exisit in your club without you even knowing it. If you are able to clearly demonstrate how the Clubmark standards are implemented in your club then what seems like a paper exercise could be the catalyst for giving your club stronger strucutre and direction for the future.
The Clubmark process involves four main areas and requires the club to complete an evidence file against set criteria on:
- The playing programme
- Duty of care and child protection
- Sports equity and ethics
- Club management
Working towards these four main areas enables clubs to take a step back and review all facets of the club ensuring that the right structure and policies are in place. By looking at all sections the club is able to coodinate a complete approach so all its members and players are working towards the same aims and standards.
The Clubmark criteria is the minimun standards that all sports and National Governing Bodies will base their accrediation. If a sport has may be decided to adapt their accredtation scheme then some addtional criteria will be added. These will be sports specific and will be for the benefit of your club
