School Sports Partnerships
What is a School Sports Partnership?
School Sport Partnerships (SSP's) are 'families' or 'clusters' of schools that received additional funding from the Government to come together to enhance sports opportunities for young people in school.
Each partnership is individual however, they are all set around a similar model which involves a series of locally linked schools centred on a 'hub school' or 'specialist sports college'.
There are 450 partnerships across England encompassing all maintained schools in England.
