Hertfordshire Sports Awards Reward the Shining Stars of Community Sport
The 2007 Herts Sports Partnership Service to Sport Awards took place on the evening of 30th April, paying tribute to the truly exceptional accomplishments of sports volunteers who have given their time and effort to make sport happen around the county.
The prestigious event, held in the Weston Auditorium at the University of Hertfordshire’s de Havilland campus, was very well attended with over 300 people from across the county turning up to show their support for community sport and the passionate volunteers who are key to its survival. Amongst attendees were sporting personalities including Maggie Alphonsi (Saracens and England), Kevin Yates and Alex Goode from Saracens and Sam Bird from ex-England and Mavericks who presented award winners with their trophies and prizes.
