The aim of The 948 Sports Foundation is to provide assistance to young people in sport within the St Albans district and the immediate surrounding areas. The Foundation was established by the OA Sports Club in February 2003 and to date the Trustees have made more 150 grants to individuals, schools, sports clubs and community bodies.

Support will be considered for projects which demonstrate they are concerned with:

• provision of equipment or facilities
• improvement in participation in sport through specialist training
• developing a sporting activity within a group or team environment

The 948 Foundation can only offer assistance in the St Albans and Harpenden area

Examples of grants made include awards to individuals across a range of sports; junior soccer clubs; team sports clubs; schools located with the St Albans area; Harpenden Skateboard Appeal, and the Saracens Sports Foundation.
