event volunteering
and the Olympics

Londno 2012 VolunteerHave you thought about your preparation for 2012? Not as a competitor; but as a potential volunteer? Why not start now by developing your talents, this is your chance to be part of the biggest sporting event in the world!

Over 70 000 volunteers will be needed for thousands of different roles at the 2012 Games, so the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) have developed a Volunteer Strategy to help the preparations.

This document will be available soon in our useful documents & helpful volunteer guides section.

An ideal place to start is at a local level, with community sports clubs, youth clubs or even for one-off events like half marathons or cycle races that take place all year round in and around Hertfordshire.
