How to get cash for clubs will be one of the topics for discussion at Herts Sports Partnership’s Community Sport Summit on Monday 26th April 2010, at the Fielder Centre in Hatfield.
The annual event provides Hertfordshire’s 2,500+ voluntary sports clubs with valuable information on a range of topics that can be key to their success. The programme of workshops and discussions includes workshops such as: how to secure funding, the new vetting and barring rules, beating the credit crunch, media in sport and making the most of volunteers. There is also information about sport in school and an update on the progress of the government’s Building Schools for the Future project.
Peter Simmons, Community Sports Network Liaison at Herts Sports Partnership, said: “Many clubs will be keen to find out about the new guidance on child protection also known as ‘vetting and barring’, as well as advice about how best to secure funds for new facilities or equipment. The event also is a valuable networking opportunity for sports clubs as well as an opportunity to keep up to date with important developments.”
Tickets for the Community Sport Summit, costing just £10 can now be booked online from the Herts Sports Partnership website: www.sportinherts.org.uk.
