A popular dance class for the over 50’s will start at Watford Leisure Centre, every Tuesday at 11.15am to 1.15pm from the 20th July.
The dance class, called Love to Move, has been so popular at nearby Abbots Langley that organisers Herts Sports Partnership have decided to hold another in the centre of Watford. The classes are aimed at older adults and offer the chance for novice dancers to try many different dance styles including: ballroom, line dancing, salsa even a bit of tap dancing.
Joe Capon, Sports Development Officer for Herts Sports Partnership explains: “The idea of these dance sessions are to give people the chance to try something new as well as to enjoy learning more steps of dance styles that may already be familiar. Dance routines are led by professional dancers provided by Saracens Sports Foundation, their instructors are great teachers, particularly for those who have not danced for quite some time!”
He added: “The first two classes are free and thereafter only cost £2 per person each week. Which is great value for money for a two hour session which includes a break and refreshments. Everyone is welcome whatever your ability, just turn up in comfortable clothing and soft shoes.”
