Hertfordshire Golf Union and Herts Sports Partnership were out and about at last weekend's Country Show at Hatfield House, giving youngsters the chance to try their hand at golf and find out more about the Love to Move campaign.
Around 450 people tried golf, with the help of a large inflatable golf range, and more than a quarter of them were keen to find out more about learning the sport. The team from Herts Sports Partnership also talked to visitors about local opportunities to be more active and encouraged over 100 people to commit to being more active, by taking part in a Love to Move Challenge as part of this years Love to Move campaign, part of the governmnent's Change4Life campaign.
Judy Shardlow, Marketing Manager for Herts Sports Partnership said: "This was a great opportunity to promote grassroots golf in the county and to talk to people generally about the diverse range of opportunities to be more active in the county."
