This course will be delivered by Gobi Ranganathan, Hertfordshire’s British No. 1 Wheelchair badminton player.

The course outcomes are:

• to provide information about Disability classifications - laws and rules as identified by ‘Parabadminton World Federation’ (PBWF) and recognised and endorsed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
• to provide candidates with the skills and ideas appropriate to providing safe, progressive and enjoyable badminton sessions for individuals with disabilities, for the following categories.
  - Wheelchair badminton
  - Standing badminton (Upper and Lower Limb)
  - Learning Disability badminton

• to provide candidates with knowledge about how to make adaptations to coaching badminton technique

At the end of the course coaches will be able to put their new coaching knowledge into practice when players with physical, sensory and learning impairments are invited to attend a badminton festival.
