The Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Children Rugby Union is a vocationally related qualification studying both practical and theoretical aspects of coaching rugby union.
UKCC Level 1 Descriptor: - ‘Deliver aspects of coaching sessions to children (up to 12 years old) under direction,’ e.g. Coach children with guidance from a Head Coach, Coaching co-ordinator or NGB scheme.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course the coach will be able to:
Deliver aspects of coaching sessions under direction
Demonstrate an understanding of developing children through Rugby Union.
Be a suitable person to coach Rugby Union
The course is primarily based on practical activity and you will be given several opportunities to coach and develop your coaching throughout the course.
You need to be 18 years of age or over before you can be registered for the qualification. Please note you will need to complete the Rugby Ready (“Safety”) practical course before starting your Level One course. Click here for details of our Rugby Ready course on Monday 13th February 2012.
