Awarded in partnership with The F.A. the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football is the next step towards becoming a recognised football coach. This course replaces the Coaching Certificate/UEFA ‘B’ Part 1 qualification. The Certificate offers candidates a combination of practical experience and class-based theory, to develop an understanding of the planning, conducting and evaluation of ethical football coaching sessions.
There are no formal prerequisites for this award, but completion of the Level 1 Coaching Certificate in Football or JTM award is a useful introduction. Anybody over 16 years of age with regular practical experience of participation in football, who is looking for an introduction to the vocational area of coaching Association Football.
The course involves an initial week’s tuition followed by continuation/support days and then two final assessment days.

- Introduction & tuition - 20th July 2012, 6.00-9.00pm.
- Tuition - 23rd-28th July 2012, 9.00am-5.00pm daily.
- Continuation/support days - 29th October 2012 and 7th Januray 2013, 9.00am - 5.00pm
- Assessment - 7th - 8th February 2013, 9.00am-5.00pm
Cost: £285
To achieve the 1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football candidates must attend all related sessions and acquire the required number of training and tutor contact hours as well as showing competence in all units.
Please note the following courses are not included in the Level 2 course fee
- Safeguarding Children in Football Workshop (3 hours)
- Emergency Aid (3 hours)
